Katutura Fashion Week was launched on Wednesday night in the Franco Namibia Cultural Center (FNCC) in Windhoek Namibia. The first day was on 21 November 2025 and it was a house full. The red carpet began at 7 p.m and the runway at 8 p.m. The power in the hall was an indication of the fact that the event has expanded over past 7 years.
There were over twenty designers on the opening night. Some of the designers who showcased on day 1 of the 2 day event included Taimi Shipopyeni, Omar Zuhalye Diedericks, Emilia Petrus, Paulina Shivute, Michele Coetzee, Rebekka hangula and Helvi Amunyela who all came with their own style that kept the audience entertained during the evening.
This year’s edition has strong support from various sponsors and partners, including Zed360.co, which is serving as a media partner.
Day Two will proceed on the 22 nd November 2025 at the FNCC. The programme will also include local and international designers like Katia Sousa Cabral from Cape Verde, Shorai Matambandzo from Zimbabwe, Ester Kalangul from Germany and various talents of Namibia like Emgard Gaweses, Dr Blue Belair Delevinge, and Dennis Hendricks.
Day Two Tickets are available and there are also more designers who will present their collections. The opening Day One provided a good beginning to a good weekend of fashion, creativity, and culture.
